Where could I work?

Many of our roles are based in Avebury in Milton Keynes. This is where our central support functions (HR, Finance, etc.) are located as well as other key teams such as Marketing and Technology. Argos and Financial Services are both headquartered here too.

We have other sites that you might find yourself in. For example, some of our digital and technology roles are now based at our new Digital Hub office in London. Likewise, we have distribution warehouses and contact centres across the UK.

How do I apply?

Simply register with us online and upload your CV. Then you’ll be able to apply for any job that interests you.

Can I send you my CV in case a job opens up?

We don’t generally encourage people to send us speculative CVs. It’s better to apply for a live vacancy. You can find out about opportunities as they arise by registering online and signing up for job alerts for roles that interest you.

Can I apply for more than one role at a time?

Sure. But only select roles that are a close match for your specific skills and experience – otherwise your application won’t get anywhere.

What training and development will I receive?

You’ll receive all the training you need to do your job – and do it well. Your line manager will also help you create a tailored development plan based around your skills and ambitions.

Development is a two-way process at Home Retail Group. While we’ll give you all the support you need, it’s up to you to take the initiative, put yourself out there and make the most of the opportunities we have to offer.

Do you offer a graduate scheme?

We offer two main graduate schemes: one in Finance & Accountancy, the other in IT Software Engineering. The former lasts three years and will see you developing your financial skills while working towards a CIMA or ACCA qualification. The latter lasts two years and will see you pushing the boundaries with our digital team. Whichever one you join, you’ll gain valuable insights and have a real impact on retail.


Do you offer industry placements for undergraduates?

We offer four industry placements for undergraduates – in Digital Marketing, Digital Merchandising, Customer & Market Insight and Own Brand. Each one lasts 12 months and will see you joining us in Milton Keynes. If you’re interested in marketing in the digital age, they’re a great opportunity to get real hands-on experience. We’ll be advertising these placements in September – so make sure to check back then.

How old do I need to be to apply?

The minimum age to work here is 16.

How often do new opportunities come up?

We usually have new openings to advertise every few days, so it’s well worth checking back on a regular basis. And remember, you can register online with us for job alerts for roles that particularly interest you.
